Casas del Bosque
Located 70 km (43.50 miles) from the capital of Santiago and 40 km (24.85 miles) from Chile’s main port: Valparaíso. From its beginning, Viña Casas del Bosque has focused on the production and sale of premium wines, estate-grown and bottled on its own land in the Casablanca Valley. Viña Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 by the Cuneo Family. Its founder and current president is Mr. Juan Cuneo. Mr. Cuneo, a descendent of Italian immigrants, is a respected and well-known businessman in Chile.

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: This Pinot Noir comes from two plots that have historically have produced high quality grapes year after year. One plot of Valdivieso Massal Selection gives structure and another of Clone 777 lends silkiness and fruit. |

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: 30% of the grapes come from sectors with a high concentration of “black clay” in the soil, and the remaining 70% from rolling hillsides in formation with semi-decomposed granitic rock, which produces naturally low yields and produces small and very concentrated bunches. 5% of the wine was aged in second-use French barrels and left on its lees for three months. |

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes went through destemming before being gravity fed into small stainless steel tanks. The wine was barrel aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 22 months. It was then matured for six months in the cellar. |

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The grapes were sourced from the Rapel Valley cropped at an average of 5 tons per hectare (2 tons per acre). The grapes went through destemming before being gravity fed into small stainless steel tanks. The wine was barrel aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 22 months. It was then matured for six months in the cellar. |

Viticulture & Vinification Notes: The fruit was hand harvested, then destemmed and crushed into stainless steel tanks. Intensely violet in colour, on the nose this wine exhibits rich notes of black cherry, blueberry and fresh rosmary with just a hint of black pepper. |
